20/10/09 - Thomas Vale Hosts Green Breakfast Meeting
Midlands based building contractor, Thomas Vale Construction, has successfully hosted the first in a series of Housing related breakfast meetings. Held at Birmingham’s Repertory Theatre, some fifty guest from the housing sector and related organisations enjoyed an opportunity to network followed by a rousing presentation from Dr Richard Baines of Black Country Housing Group looking at climate change and its far reaching implications for the housing sector.
Thomas Vale Construction takes an extremely pro active approach to issues of sustainability and felt that it would be appropriate to kick start its first breakfast meeting with a focus on the environmental agenda.
Ian Cox, Partnership and Development Director for Thomas Vale commented;“We were delighted that the event was so well attended with representatives from such a diverse range of organisations. Sustainability and climate change really are key issues, particularly in the construction and property industries. Richard Baines delivered an engaging and thought provoking presentation, focusing on key topics and giving us all something to go away and think about”.
Following the success of this inaugural event, Thomas Vale intends to roll out a series of similar meeting over the next few months.
