20/10/08 - Thomas Vale Construction and E.ON join forces to provide ground breaking energy solutions

Midlands and Thames-Valley based construction company Thomas Vale Construction and E.ON, one of the UK’s leading energy suppliers, have announced that they will be working together to deliver sustainable technologies including micro-generation and distributed energy to clients across the Midlands.

E.ON’s Sustainable Energy Solutions (SES) business and Thomas Vale Construction have formed a unique venture to provide renewable and sustainable energy solutions to major blue chip clients in the public and private sectors including Social Housing, Education, Healthcare, Retirement, Industrial, Commercial, Retail and New Build and Refurbishment Sectors

The alliance will provide clients across the midlands with a one-stop-shop in respect of Sustainable Energy Solutions. Thomas Vale will initially be contacting its existing clients to discuss how it can help them meet their carbon reduction targets by reducing their demand for traditional power and heat requirements, whilst also providing access to carbon reduction grants.

Tony Hyde, Managing Director of Thomas Vale Construction, said: “The industry knows that Thomas Vale Construction is at the forefront of change and many of our competitors strive to meet the targets and challenges we set our own business. This industry first venture will ensure that our environmental targets and our clients aspirations are met and exceeded through the depth and breadth of knowledge of what Thomas Vale and E.ON can bring to the wider communities; both in terms of challenging environmental solutions and renewable technologies and cost efficiency for whole life costing, particularly in the current economic climate.”

Anthony Galloni, Head of Sustainable Energy Solutions at E.ON, said: “At E.ON we’re committed to changing the way people use energy. Last year we set up our SES business which helps customers, of all sizes, choose and fit a range of micro-generation and distributed energy technologies to improve the sustainability of their energy supply. Today’s announcement with Thomas Vale is a further step towards helping more organisations gain access to low carbon energy solutions.

Thomas Vale Construction and E.ON will also be installing ground source heat pumps with various midlands based Housing Associations as part of this initiative.
