20/10/08 - Networking the Black Country Way: Yammorite?

Thomas Vale Construction hosted a networking evening with a difference this week, held at the Black Country Museum in Dudley to celebrate the opening of their Pensnett office in Kingswinford. Despite the downturn in the building industry the company has doubled the size of its Black Country base.

With over 40 of the company’s client’s attending the evening was a huge success. Guests enjoyed entertainment from the Black Country’s funny man Tommy Mundon, followed by a tour around the museum and an old style school lesson. Finally they ended the night with traditional Fish and Chips.

“Just a quick note to thank you on behalf of Andy and myself for a fantastic evening, the fish and chips were fantastic and the beer and conversation excellent”
Wayne Geldard, Director, GHW Consulting Engineers Ltd.

Thomas Vale has been established since 1869 and can demonstrate long standing commitment to train, employ and retain local people from within their established operating areas. The company today employs over 830 people and last month it announced record annual results with turnover up 27 per cent to £195 million and a profit before tax of £3 million.

“It was fantastic to see that so many of our friends, colleagues and clients could take time out of their busy schedules to help celebrate the opening of the 'Black Country Office' The positive feedback was tremendous and we look forward to continuing to provide local jobs for local people for local clients in and around the Black Country”
