25/11/10 - Money Raised for Children in Need
Thomas Vale Construction is pleased to announce today that over £250 was raised for Children in Need to help improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.
The money was raised through dress down day and Pudsy Bear games.
Tony Hyde, Managing Director at Thomas Vale Construction said:
“A big thank-you to all of those who generously donated to such a good cause. In recent times, when everyone has been talking about the pressures of the current financial climate, it is great to see that people are still happy to make an effort for charity”.
Thomas Vale has been supporting the work of Children in Need for several years, raising over £3,000 last year for its 30th Anniversary.
Children in Need currently has over 70 active grants in Birmingham and the Black Country worth over £3.2 million. They include a football project, afterschool clubs and youth clubs.
This year over £18 million was raised by the end of the live broadcast last week with a total amount yet to be confirmed.
