26/03/08 - More Affordable Homes for Brandwood End

Waterloo Housing Association is celebrating the recent acquisition and commencement of a further 67 new Affordable Homes at Brandwood End, Kings Heath, Birmingham. A £7.1m build contract has been signed with Thomas Vale Construction, to supplement the existing 150 new homes built in earlier phases.

The new Homes which are available for rent, shared ownership, and outright sale, are being built in the Sunderton Road, and Broad Lane areas, on land purchased from Birmingham City Council.

The homes which are due for completion in 2009 are to replace the former defective “Smith’s Construction” homes that have been demolished by the Council.

Waterloo Housing Association has now invested £17 million in the regeneration of the estate, since it started in 2000.
