30/01/09 - Sustainable Technologies Partnership Grows
Not content with standing still West Midlands based contractors Thomas Vale Construction have joined forces with Worcester Bosch and the West Midlands Centre for Constructing Excellence (WMCCE) to further expand their existing partnership with EON. The construction company, last year announced that they would be working with energy giants EON to deliver sustainable technologies including micro-generation and distributed energy to clients across the Midlands.
Tony Hyde, Managing Director of Thomas Vale Construction, said: “The industry knows that Thomas Vale Construction is at the forefront of change and many of our competitors strive to meet the targets and challenges we set our own business. This industry first venture will ensure that our environmental targets and our client’s aspirations are met and exceeded through the depth and breadth of knowledge of what this partnership can bring”.
The new partnership that will now be made up of Thomas Vale, EON, WMCCE and Worcester Bosch will provide clients across the midlands with a one-stop-shop in respect of Sustainable Energy Solutions. Thomas Vale will initially be contacting its existing clients to discuss how it can help them meet their carbon reduction targets by reducing their demand for traditional power and heat requirements, whilst also providing access to carbon reduction grants. Not only will the partnership address the environmental issues it will also support employment in the local area.
“WMCCE is delighted to join this exciting new partnership led by Thomas Vale. We are confident that it will inspire the development and use of sustainable technologies in the region – this as an important component in our mission to promote best practice and innovation in the construction industry in the West Midlands”
Phil Wilson, Operations Director, West Midlands Centre for Constructing Excellence
