The Birmingham Construction Partnership has hosted a coffee morning at Boundary House in Birmingham for tenants from one of their recent projects. A prize draw was held for the guests to win a Christmas Hamper. Tenants at number 35 were extremely pleased to win.
The Birmingham Construction Partnership team, comprising of Birmingham City Council’s Urban Design, Thomas Vale Construction, Wates Group and GF Tomlinson Birmingham Ltd, are totally committed to all aspects of Corporate Social Responsibility and to creating a sustainable city.It has proven to be a groundbreaking partnership that has exceeded expectations, embracing and delivering as so many levels on the key industry drivers of sustainability, quality, innovation, continuous improvement and value for money.
Since the inception of the BCP in 2004, bringing neighborhoods together has been paramount in each of the contractor partner’s minds. The ability to deliver superior facilities where communities are able to gather and feel safe, has never been more evident than in recent projects.
This year also saw Midlands based contractor, Thomas Vale Construction host a “Big Lunch” as part of their ongoing work in the community. Their decent homes offices in Yardley welcomed the residents of the local area to a buffet lunch, raffle and face painting party. Invitations were extended to all the local residents and many of the ‘decent homes’ tenants in the area.
Thomas Vale Construction has managed to raise quarter of a million this year for charities across the country. One of the biggest events of 2009 was The Pantomime Horse Grand National sponsored by Thomas Vale Construction which took over centenary square and one of Birmingham’s busiest roads, Broad Street, to host the 2009 Races in association with Birmingham City Council. The family event saw 100’s turn up for the enjoyable social event of the year. The Races helped to kick off the start of the pantomime season this year in a truly British style – in homage to the famous Grand National at Aintree.
