15/08/2011 - Work begins on NFU Headquarters
Award winning contractors Thomas Vale Construction have recently started a £2 million project for the National Farmers Union. The first piece of turf has been cut at the Stoneleigh Park site to make way for new facilities for the National Farmers Union Trust.
The 28 week project for the NFU involves the design and construction of a new Conference Suite at the headquarters in Warwickshire. The project also involves the construction of a new car park, access road and shower block, which is all set to be completed by early 2012.
Paul Burchell, Director for the Property and Restoration Solutions division commented:
“We are delighted to be involved in this project with the National Farmers Union, and look forward to producing the excellent facilities that have been designed for the NFU.”
The National Farmers Union is the largest farming organisation in the UK, which champion British farming and provide professional representation and services to its Farmer and Grower members.
NFU Director of Finance, Ken Sutherland commented:
“We are delighted to be working with Thomas Vale on this exciting development at the NFU’s headquarters. This new building, situated just a stone’s throw from our existing HQ will give us the flexibility to host membership meetings of all sizes as well as providing expanded catering facilities”
