24/08/10 - Trainees Recognised for Commitment
Two young trainees from Thomas Vale construction are celebrating after being awarded ‘Trainees of the Year’ for their excellent commitment and dedication to the company.
Construction Management Trainee Joshua Jones and Trainee Maintenance Operations Manager Joshua Robinson were both recognised by their peers for their achievements over the past year.
Both work for two of the company’s major frameworks. Joshua Jones has worked on the Wolverhampton Homes Partnership for two years, an ALMO (Arms length management organisation), managing 24,000 properties in Wolverhampton on behalf of Wolverhampton City Council whilst Josh Robinson has been with the Sandwell Decent Homes Partnership for 3 years, a £425 million construction framework tasked with ‘decent homes’ refurbishment of 30,000 properties in Sandwell. Carol Appleton, Training Manager, Thomas Vale Construction said: “Josh and Josh have both done extremely well. This is a fantastic achievement and we can see a bright future ahead for both of them. It is very encouraging to see how successful our training programme is and that we are securing the skills and high quality of work needed within the industry”
