Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery
Contract Value: £9.3 million
This contract comprised the refurbishment of the Grade 2* listed Victorian museum, incorporating the strip out and fit out of eight galleries and council accommodation, the installation of a new lift and extensive renewal works to the entire external envelope and roof, delivered under 6 separate phases over 5 years, to create the “Birmingham – A City in the Making” project, which received £4.9m of funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
Bath Southgate Railway Station
Contract Value: £14.5 million
This design and build project for Southgate Ltd Partnership, a joint venture between Aviva Investors and Multi Development, comprises the large scale redevelopment of the public areas of the grade 1 listed train and bus station with extensive restoration, refurbishment and extensions to form a new transportation interchange for Bath. The works include the installation of 2 new lifts from ground floor level up to platform level, the complete relaying of station surfaces and the restoration of an historical lift as a static tourist attraction. The project brings with it a number of logistical challenges in terms of working in a live rail environment alongside station staff and commuters.
Stourport Basin Cafe
Contract Value: £250,000
Ambitious project to transform an old workshop and stable building at the heart of Stourport’s historic canal basins into a stylish café-restaurant, office and heritage information centre.
Coventry War Memorial
Contract Value £2.8 million A full-scale clean of the stone-work of the 87-foot monument has been completed as part of a wider scheme to improve the War Memorial Park. As part of the programme, defective leading work was replaced and stone-work has also been re-pointed and repaired as necessary. The bulb at the top of the memorial has been changed to white at the request of services representatives and high level windows have been re-stained and new mastic sealant applied
