Energy Management & Compliance
At Thomas Vale FM we carry out a full energy survey of the building to initially determine methods of working and how to demonstrate easily manageable savings. From this survey we produce a roadmap, or purchase map, based on performance requirements and investment capabilities. From this a clear energy usage reduction plan can be developed.
Simple improvements to insulation levels, or improvements to mechanical plant within the building, whilst not obvious, can have significant impacts on the energy use of the building. For example our experience shows that variable speed drives fitted to pumps used in heating and cooling systems can result in savings of upwards of 70-80% of the total energy used by the pump, simply by ensuring that the pump operates only when required.
