Sandyford Community Fire Station

The station is one of ten new community fire stations being built under a private finance initiative (PFI) project. The consortium delivering the project is called Fire Support (see Notes to Editor). Construction company Thomas Vale have constructed the new building and COFELY Ltd will provide the ongoing facilities management. The new state of the art station, located on Reginald Mitchell Way, will be crewed 24/7 by 28 firefighters working over four shifts. There will be one fire engine and two specialist appliances. The two storey building includes a partner room and a community room, outside there is drill yard and a training building and tower.
