30/06/08 New NVQ for Thomas Vale Employees
Thomas Vale Employees are set to take on the challenge of a new NVQ qualification in Business Improvement Techniques (BIT) for Construction. The Pilot programme which is supported by the Learning Skills Council and promoted by the West Midlands Centre for Constructing Excellence (WMCCE) will be carried out with the Housing Regeneration Division and will focus on the Decent Homes programme with Wolverhampton Homes.

25/06/08 It’s not all Bricks and Mortar
More than 300 school children from 11 secondary schools in Sandwell attended a Construction Awareness Event this week at the West Bromwich Albion football ground. The Sandwell Decent Homes Partnership hosted the event in order to educate school children from around the borough of Sandwell about employment opportunities within the UK construction industry.

16/06/08 Success Leads to Framework Contractor
Thomas Vale have recently completed a £6m new build project on Birmingham Business Park, near the NEC. The building was designed and built within the Business Homes ‘standard model’ outline. It consisted of eight separate, two storey office buildings over a six acre site. The 47 week project commenced in March 2007 and was completed on schedule in February 2008.

16/06/08 St Edward’s School Complete
Thomas Vale Construction have recently completed a major building project for St Edward’s School in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. The £1.4m scheme that completed on schedule in May 2008 is a striking building which includes a large modern Refectory overlooking the grounds, a specially designed drama studio and two new teaching rooms.
