The official opening of Lymedale Business Centre was held this week located on Lymedale Business Park, just outside of Newcastle-under-Lyme. The Centre that is now approaching its first six months of being operational following development was officially opened by Councillor John Taylor, Leader of Staffordshire County Council and it was an ideal occasion to celebrate this landmark achievement of what the Partnership has delivered.

16/07/08 Success for year 10 pupils with ‘Eco Friendly’ Concept
Year 10 Pupils from Bournville School, Birmingham were celebrating on Friday after winning Enterprise week by impressing the judges with their ‘eco friendly’ concept. The pupils were set a challenge to provide ‘greener’ environments and ensure that they are still environmentally sound in 30 years time. The challenge given to them by Midlands based contractors Thomas Vale Construction and Bournville Architects is part of an Enterprise week, a scheme designed to meet the essential 5 enterprise days prescribed by the Government.

Teenagers at a school near Worcester are getting a taste of life in the construction industry by building their own outdoor classroom.
A group of Year 10 students from Chantry High School, in Martley, are working alongside Midland-based contractor Thomas Vale, in partnership with local housing association Nexus Housing.

On the 5th June 2008, clients and staff of Thomas Vale Construction came together to celebrate the ten year anniversary of the establishment of the company’s Birmingham office. 30/06/08 New NVQ for Thomas Vale Employees
Thomas Vale Employees are set to take on the challenge of a new NVQ qualification in Business Improvement Techniques (BIT) for Construction. The Pilot programme which is supported by the Learning Skills Council and promoted by the West Midlands Centre for Constructing Excellence (WMCCE) will be carried out with the Housing Regeneration Division and will focus on the Decent Homes programme with Wolverhampton Homes.
