A large scale refurbishment of the first floor and main reception area, the £1.3M Lloyd House project was executed on an occupied site over a 30 week programme period. The scheme has incorporated extensive refurbishment to the first floor office area, in addition to the upgrade of the ground floor reception, waiting area and press room. A new external glazed canopy and frontage have been applied to the reception area.

Fire Support is a consortium led by Bilfinger Berger Project Investments, consisting of Nord LB and building contractors Thomas Vale and Stepnell. Cofathec will provide facilities management services and 3DReid, dac and Walker Simpson make up the architects. In May 2008 Fire Support and Kajima were issued the invitation to submit final tenders and following a thorough evaluation process Fire Support have been chosen as the preferred bidder. The £46 million project will involve the building of ten brand new community fire stations in the County. |

The 2.5 year, £8million project saw the refurbishment and construction of a brand new state of the art Custody Suite, boasting 16 cells, amongst a variety of other specialist zones including a photography and finger printing room. The safety of both prisoners and staff was a key factor in the design of the block which will make an enormous difference in the sucessful delivery of Policing in Herefordshireas well as ensuring the optimum safety of both staff and occupant. |
