"Well, where to start? It's initiatives to radically increase the use of lean construction, waste management and off site fabrication perhaps? Or maybe its Partnering Ethos, Supply Chain Development of 360ยบ Review Customer Care System."

Supply Chain

Supply Chain and Procurement is increasingly becoming an area of focus for our industry, with over 90% of all expenditure on construction sites in the hands of our Specialist Supply Chain Partners.

The significant volume of waste that exists in this area was proven by numerous studies by Government funded organisations. The ultimate cost of waste and inefficiency being borne by our Clients and Thomas Vale.

Over the last year, Thomas Vale has established innovative sector leading strategies across all areas of waste.

This has been a real challenge and we have made several key appointments including Richard O'Connor, who formally heades up the DTI's Construction Lean Improvement Programme and is the leading construction professional in the area of Lean and Business Improvement.

Bill Munn, Director all manages this with a special remit to focus on Business Wide Efficiency and Best Practice both with our Core Businesses and our Supply Chain.
