Our Charities

Every year our Employees and Supply Chain Partners raise outstanding amounts of monies for local charities and trusts. Over the past 3 years, we have raised in excess of £250,000.

Charities which we have supported

Cancer Research, Worcestershire and Midlands
Cancer Research UK is the world's leading independent organisation dedicated to cancer research. They support research into all aspects of cancer through the work of more than 4,500 scientists, doctors and nurses. A charity close to our own hearts, our Employees have participated in the Race for Life and continue to take part in the 'Dress Pink Days' in support of Breast Cancer.
Acorns Children's Hospice, Worcestershire and Birmingham
Acorns Children’s Hospice currently cares for over 600 life-limited children from across the West Midlands and Three Counties. Acorns offer a network of care services through its three hospices in Birmingham, Walsall and Worcester. The Acorns Community Team provides support to the whole family at home, 24-hours-a-day, seven days a week. It costs Acorns £4,500 per day, per hospice, to provide these services free of charge to families, and it receives very little of its funding from the government, relying almost entirely on community donations.
CRASH, Nationally
CRASH aims to help homelessness charities to improve their premises, facilities and accommodation provided for homeless people. CRASH brings together the expertise and help of professionals and companies from the UK construction and property industries to assist homelessness projects to reduce construction costs.
Sandwell Young Carer's, Sandwell
Through our Sandwell Decent Homes Partnership and our other contractor partners, we held an 'It's a Knockout' event in August of this year and raised over £6000 for Sandwell young Carers. Sandwell Young Carers is a registered charity set up in 1994 to identify and support children and young people aged 5-18 years of age, living in Sandwell, whose health, education and social lives have been affected as a result of caring for a dependent family member. The charity does this through a package of support and a short breaks programme inclusive of offsite day trips and residential breaks. Onsite youth and play sessions and workshops, advocacy, one to one and group support is also offered.
Kemp Hospice, Kidderminster
KEMP Hospice offers palliative care and support for those living with cancer and all other life threatening illnesses, adding quality to life wherever theycan. As a local charity, our employees are passionate about ensuring our continued support for Kemp Hospice.
The Jennifer Trust, Warwickshire
The Jennifer Trust for Spinal Muscular Atrophy is the only national charity in the UK dedicated both to supporting people affected by SMA, and investing in essential research into causes, treatments and eventually a cure for the condition. Our employees in 2009 have raised around £6,000 for the Jennifer Trust.
